Training
Why should I carry out training?
Under section 2 of the Health and Safety at Work Act (HASAWA) 1974, an employer has a legal duty to ensure the health, safety and welfare at work through the provision of information, instruction, training and supervision.
What is Training?
Training is where an activity has been carried out and a learning has taken place .There are many different types of training that an employer is required to give to the employees for example Induction, Manual Handling, Fire Safety and specific to the work carried out, just to name a few. The training can also be delivered in many different ways from one to one ‘hands on’ training to group training sessions. The important message to remember is that the training is sufficient and suitable and that the Trainer is qualified and competent.
